Flying from the U.S. and Canada
Western U.S. and Canada
There are no direct flights from North America to Ulaanbaatar, but there are connecting flights through Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo, making Mongolia accessible with one stop from most major U.S. and Canadian cities.
East Coast and Midwest
From the East Coast, total flight time is similar flying east or west. In addition to the major Asian hubs, travelers can also connect through Frankfurt or Istanbul.
Flying from Europe
MIAT Mongolian Airlines offers non-stop service between Frankfurt and Ulaanbaatar, and both MIAT and Turkish Airlines offer non-stop flights from Istanbul to Ulaanbaatar. In addition to those hubs, most other major European cities offer one-stop access to Mongolia with connections through Beijing and Seoul.
Flying from Australia and New Zealand
There are no direct flights from Australia or New Zealand to Mongolia, but there are connecting flights to Ulaanbaatar through Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo.
